A bus driver got a lot of support after
he slapped a 12-year-old boy

I don’t know about y’all, but…I think 300,000 folks signing a petition supporting a bus driver who slapped the taste out of a 12-year-old boy’s mouth after he ran out in front of his moving bus is a sign that a lot of folks support the bus driver who slapped the taste out of the 12-year-old boy’s mouth.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t believe folks should hit other folks’ children. I also don’t believe that children should get unnecessary ass whuppins.

Hey, hey, hey now, don’t y’all go getting all uppity on me with y’all’s fancy ways! All right, ain’t no need to start cussing me out like y’all know me!

I’m not saying that folks should just go around here doing walk-by ass whuppins on folks’ children.

What I am saying is that there are some children who need a good dose of act right in the form of a good ass whuppin.

That little 12-year-old fella there needed an ass whuppin. He had no business running out there in front of that bus and then turning around yelling at the bus driver, “shut up,” when the man confronted him about it.

I don’t blame the bus driver for the way he reacted. It was a natural response to something that could have easily changed his and that boy’s lives forever.

Y’all just stop and think about how y’all would’ve reacted if somebody had dashed out in front of y’all’s automobiles while y’all were trying to get to where y’all were going.

Y’all would be cussing and fussing up a storm so to the point that folks would give y’all’s cussing and fussing storm a name.

And that would be all right because it shows that you are human and concern about those around you.

A person who doesn’t care about his/her fellow human beings would’ve clipped the 12-year-old boy and then laughed about it.

But that bus driver didn’t do that. He slammed on the brakes, asked his passengers if they were ok, and then went out there and told that little fella about himself.

From what I can tell, the bus driver never would have given that little devil the act right his parents obviously aren’t giving him if that little joka wasn’t so disrespectful and yelled at the man to “shut up!”

A 12-year-old is old enough to know not to jump out there in front of a moving bus because he knows that jumping out there in front of a moving bus could easily lead to his soul jumping out of his body.

Those forever outer body experiences aren’t fun. It’s not like hop scotch. You can’t jump out and then jump back in.

To be honest with y’all, I think that’s why the bus driver’s employer, Paris Transport Authority, didn’t fire him.

Sure, they discipline him for slapping the taste out of the boy’s mouth because it is their policy for their drivers to maintain their composure.

However, the latter doesn’t undermine the fact that the Paris Transport Authority’s decision to keep the bus driver on the payroll is more than likely based on the agency recognizing that the bus driver behaved the way that many humans would have.

And being human is not a fireable offense. It is for that reason that 300,000 human beings signed a petition supporting the bus driver for doing what many of us human beings would have done if we were in his shoes.
